Financial and Estate Planning Seminar Planned for the Fall

A respected senior law attorney, and the staff of the Desert Southwest United Methodist Foundation, will conduct a seminar at our church on Sunday, November 15 at 3 pm in the Educational Building.

There is no charge for this program. We can show our appreciation for their efforts by providing a strong turnout that afternoon. If we have a good showing we may be able to repeat this program on an annual basis.

The presenters have asked for our input in setting the agenda for that afternoon. So far the subjects under consideration are:

Charitable gift annuities

Wills and revocable trusts

Federal taxation of estates: now and in the future

Reverse mortgages: the case for and against

Beneficiary deeds: if you own your home and are a surviving spouse,

without a trust, this document may be very important to you.

Roth IRA”s: should you convert your traditional IRA to a Roth?

Please call the office to register and/or sign the sheet in Lindsay Hall. If you are not staying in Arizona this summer, please call the office: we need a good count of attendees as early as possible in order to set up the room, provide refreshments, copy material, etc. If you have suggestions for the agenda tell the office staff and they will add it to our list.
