New Members as of December 22, 2019

 

Nancy Baniszewski is joining us in Profession of Faith. She grew up in and calls Erie, Pennsylvania home. Education and learning are lifelong endeavors. Nancy returned to school and graduated from Arizona State University at the age of 49. She has a Master’s Degree in Education and taught high school and junior college English classes. She loved teaching, especially her Honors classes. She retired in 2011. Nancy enjoys reading, card games, golf, travel and boating. The loves of her life are three adult children and seven grandchildren.

Darby Carmer is joining us in Profession of Faith. She was born and raised in California, retired from medical coding, and currently works part-time at Ikea. Darby’s late husband was an aerospace engineer; they lived in several states during his career. She decided to move to Arizona to be close to family. She enjoys sewing, crafts and reading.

Jim and Marian Kirkpatrick are joining us in Re-affirmation of Faith. Jim is from Wellton, Arizona, and is a retired consultant. He enjoys the outdoors, fishing in the ocean, hunting, and training his pointing dogs.  Marian is from Ohio and New Hampshire. She is a retired Medical Secretary Assistant. She enjoys being a medical volunteer with Mission of Mercy, knitting, playing cards, dog hunting training and dog shows.  They both enjoy their family and grandchildren. 

Ben and Maxine Martorella are transferring from Englewood United Methodist Church in Florida.  Jim calls Monterey, California home and is retired from 38 years in the US Postal Service. He enjoys research, using the internet and gym activities. Maxine spent her childhood in California and is retired from AAA Insurance. Maxine enjoys education and received her college degree at the age of 59. Her hobbies are watercolor painting, reading, yoga and travel.

Darrell Porath is transferring from Central Christian Church in Flint, Michigan. He attended Michigan State University and the University of Maryland. He was a Hospital Corpsman in the US Navy. Being very active in volunteer work, he received the President’s Award for Volunteer Service. His hobbies include Search & Rescue, Pinal County Sheriff’s Dive Team, Wildland Firefighter, Patriot Guard Riders and Veterans groups. He has lived in 17 states, 23 cities and traveled to 79 countries.
