Carl and Shirley Humecki are joining us as Associate Members with Desert Pines Baptist in Show Low, Arizona. Carl spent his child and teen years in Wisconsin. He served in the U.S. Marines for three years. His military service took him to Japan and Hong Kong. After the service, Carl worked in Chicago in Industrial Engineering and Sales. He enjoys golf, bridge, and travel. Shirley also spent her childhood in Wisconsin, and worked in real estate for over twenty years in the Chicago area. The joy of their lives together has been the combining of their two families, raising seven children, and seeing those children grow up and be successful adults with families of their own. They are proud grandparents of eleven grandchildren.
Dennis and Becky Sealey are joining us in re-affirmation of faith. They both grew up in Nebraska and are high school sweethearts. Dennis attended the Universities of Iowa and Nebraska, and he has his master’s degree in Physical Therapy. He is retired as Head Trainer and Physical Therapist with the University of Washington, where he provided medical care to twenty-four college football bowl teams. He enjoys golf, sight-seeing, and spectator sports. Becky is retired as a licensed home child care provider and office manager in Dennis’ Physical Therapy Clinic. She loved playing seventeen years of women’s soccer in Seattle, and currently enjoys reading, biking, photography, and traveling. They celebrated fifty years of marriage last year, and have three sons (one who is a United Methodist Pastor) and six grandchildren.
Peter and Cindy Thomas are joining us as Affiliate Members with First United Methodist Church in Wichita, Kansas. They were both born and raised in Wichita, and are retired–Peter from Intrust Bank Financial Services, Wealth Management Division, and Cindy as a registered nurse. Their joys are their three children and serving on twenty-seven mission trips in the U.S. and around the world. Peter’s hobbies are golf and gardening. Cindy’s hobbies are reading, music, traveling, and spending time with their grandchildren.
