Owen Knutzen is transferring his membership from Presbyterian Church of the Cross in Omaha, Nebraska. He is retired from the Omaha Public School system where he served as Superintendent The highlights of Owen’s life has been his marriage of 67 years, his three children, ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. His accomplishments are his military service and obtaining a higher education.He enjoys history and reading.
Beverly Lust is transferring her membership from Saint Barnabas Episcopal Church in Scottsdale. Bev has lived in the states of Indiana and Minnesota. She moved to Iowa City (which she loved) and received her Bachelors’ Degree in teaching from The University of Iowa. The highlights of her life have been her volunteer work, counseling women in college and helping her husband in business. Bev has enjoyed curling, tennis and golf. She has achieved the ‘Life Master’ rank in bridge and plays competitively. She enjoys reading.
Norman and Lisa Mark are transferring their membership from First Presbyterian Church of Moorhead, Minnesota. Norman grew up in Iowa and spent most of his adult life in North Dakota. Lisa grew up in Minnesota. Norman is retired from his business in Freelance Court Reporting and Lisa as a Legal Assistant. Lisa has been very active in church; serving in the education department, singing in the choir, an Elder and multiple committees. Norman enjoys family, golf, tennis, reading and gardening. Lisa enjoys golf, bridge and volunteering to teach young adults politics.
Gary and Jean Nelson are transferring their membership from Alliance United Methodist Church in Nebraska. Gary grew up in Bloomington, Minnesota and Jean in Wessington Springs, South Dakota. They lived in Alliance Nebraska for 36 years. Gary is retired from his business, Nelson Electric where he serviced Center Pivot Irrigations Systems. Jean is retired from First National Bank as Vice President of Retail. They have two sons and six grandchildren. Gary enjoys golf and gun collecting; Jean enjoys bridge, golf, music and reading.
