Counseling Ministry

Sun Lakes Counseling Services

Sun Lakes Counseling Services is a ministry of the Sun Lakes United Methodist Church. Confidential counseling services are offered to church members, church members’ friends, neighbors, veterans and family members, and the surrounding Sun Lakes community.

Counseling services are available for a wide range of issues, including: Addiction, Anxiety/Fear, Depression, Grief and Loss, Managing Stress, Family/Behavior Concerns, and veteran and/or family member issues.

During the month of May, due to the pandemic, counseling services will be available via telephone, or Facetime.

Counseling sessions are held by appointment, generally during office hours, at Sun Lakes United Methodist Church.

Fees are decided on a sliding scale from $25 to $95 per session. Insurance is not accepted.

We now offer you a variety of complimentary crossword and Sudoku puzzle books. Doing cognitive puzzles may: improve memory, problem solving, judgment and mood; lower stress; delay dementia and Alzheimer’s. Books are located in SLUMC Alpha Room, so please help yourself to a book and enjoy! We appreciate this donation from St. Martin’s Press.

For more information or to schedule an appointment, call the Sun Lakes UMC office at 480-895-8766, and ask that a counselor return your call.
