Missions
Mission Programs
United Methodists continue the long Wesleyan tradition on a worldwide scale of engaging in Ministry with the Poor, as an expression of Christian discipleship.
The four goals of the Sun Lakes United Methodist Church Missions Committee are:
- To make disciples of Jesus Christ.
- Strengthen, develop and renew Christian congregations and communities.
- Alleviate human suffering.
- Seek justice, freedom and peace.
To that end the Missions Committee of Sun Lakes Methodist Church strives to be alert to mission needs locally, regionally, nationally and internationally.
John Wesley said, “Do all the good you can, in all the places you can, to all the people you can.”
We remember that participation in God’s mission is a function, duty and privilege of all believers. Our Missions Committee is proud to serve Sun Lakes UMC. Some of the missions projects we have supported and continue to support…
